πŸ“… When and where is the festival?
The festival takes place on 13th October 2025 at various venues across Dumbarton. Please check the programme for event times.  

🎟 Do I need to buy a ticket?
Yes, for the ticketed events (see programme). Please note that tickets are required for children only. Adults do not need a ticket, but every child must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  Tickets are free but we do ask that you please let us know if you are no longer able to attend the event so we can re-release the ticket/s. The drop-in activities do not require a ticket.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ Do adults need to stay with children?
Yes. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

πŸ“š What age group is the festival for?
Events are designed for children aged  0–11 and their families. Please check the programme for age guidance on specific sessions.

πŸ’³ How much do tickets cost?
Tickets are free.

πŸ› Will books be on sale?
Yes! A pop-up bookshop will be running from 11.00 - 3.00PM (Quiet Hour 12.30 - 1.30) in Dumbarton Parish Church Hall, High Street, There will also be The Big Book Swap, see website for more details.

✍ Can we get books signed?
Some of the authors/illustrators will have a small selection of their books available to buy/get signed at their event but if you already own a copy absolutely bring it along to be signed!

⏱ Can we drop in and out?
All activities at Dumbarton Parish Church Hall are drop-in so you can come and go as you please. All other events are free but require a ticket and are set times.

πŸ“Έ Can we take photos?
Photos for personal use are welcome (please tag us if sharing on Instagram), but please respect the privacy of other families and only photograph your own child/children. Official festival photographers will also be taking pictures for promotional materials/archive.  If you do not wish for you or your child to be photographed please alert a member of staff.  

πŸ• Can we bring pets?
No, except for registered assistance dogs.

❓Who is running the festival?
The festival is organised by a tiny (there are three of us: one of us is a teacher, one of us works in libraries and one of us is a Graphic Designer) volunteer-led, not-for-profit community group.
