Its shores are wild and wonderful, with creatures of every kind... But there's one little creature, called Bumple, who has no interest in the island's wonders – she'd much rather stay put in her cosy home patch. ‘Guising’ (today's Trick-or-Treating) and ‘dooking for apples’ (bobbing for apples) and carving out a ‘tumshie’ were rites of passage for Scottish children who needed the strength of an ox and the stubbornness of a donkey to carve that lantern.
