Terms & Conditions – 2 Rivers Children’s Book Festival

1. Tickets & Admission

  • Tickets are available exclusively through Eventbrite.

  • Every child attending must have a valid ticket.

  • Each ticketed child must be accompanied by at least one responsible adult (18+). Adults do not require a separate ticket but cannot enter without an accompanying ticketed child.

  • Tickets must not be resold. The Festival reserves the right to verify tickets at the door.

2. Supervision & Responsibility

  • Adults remain fully responsible for the safety and supervision of the children in their care at all times during the Festival.

  • Festival staff and volunteers are present to facilitate activities and provide information; they are not childcare providers and assume no responsibility for supervision.

  • Attendees agree to behave respectfully toward other guests, authors, and staff. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior may result in immediate removal.

3. Programme Changes

  • The Festival programme is subject to change at short notice due to illness, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • We will make every effort to provide suitable alternatives or notify attendees via social media/email.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • If you cannot attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite so it can be released to the next person on the waiting list.

5. Photography & Media

  • Photographs and video may be taken for publicity and archive purposes. By attending, you consent to being included in general crowd shots.

  • To protect children’s privacy, we ask that attendees refrain from taking close-up photos of other children without explicit parental permission.

  • If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform a staff member upon arrival for an opt-out lanyard.

6. Health, Safety & Liability

  • Attendance is at your own risk. The Festival is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property, except where required by law.

  • If food or craft materials are provided, please be aware that we cannot guarantee allergen-free environments. Inform staff of any severe allergies.

7. Data Privacy

  • Personal data collected via Eventbrite is subject to their policies. See Eventbrite's Privacy Policy/Terms & Conditions.

  • We process your personal data solely for the purpose of managing your ticket and communicating about the Festival. We do not share your data with third parties.
